PEASI takes the following measures to ensure the accessibility of Alertable:

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) defines requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. We strive to make our website accessible by meeting the guidelines from WCAG 2.1 AA. We recognize that being inclusive and accessible is an ongoing process. Compatibility with browsers and assistive technology

Alertable is designed to be compatible with the following assistive technologies:

  • Google Chrome Version 135.0.7049.85 (Official Build) (arm64) with VoiceOver (web)
  • Safari Version 18.3.1 (20620.2.4.11.6) with VoiceOver (web)
  • NVDA (on Windows) 

Technical specifications

Accessibility of Alertable relies on the following technologies to work with the particular combination of web browser and any assistive technologies or plugins installed on your computer:

These technologies are relied upon for meeting the accessibility guidelines.

Limitations and alternatives

Despite our best efforts to ensure accessibility of Alertable, there may be some limitations. Below is a description of known limitations, and potential solutions. Please contact us if you observe an issue not listed below.

Known limitations for Alertable:

  • The third-party Google maps used in the solution contained standard third-party features from Google and therefore were not tested and are not included in this accessibility statement. However, the alternative to the map view is the list view, which meets the noted guidelines. The list view provides comprehensive information about each alert in a text-based format.

  • Based on independent evaluation by an external entity, completed on April 15th, 2025, the Alertable website and the mobile apps (iOS and Android) meets WCAG 2.1, Conformance Level AA. (Note: The maps were not tested and are not included in this evaluation. The alternative to the map view is the list view, which meets the noted guidelines.) To meet Conformance Level AA, all WCAG 2.1 and 2.0 level A and level AA must be met.
