Learn how Alberta launched Canada’s first provincial smartphone-based public alerting system, reaching people faster and more reliably during wildfires, floods, and severe weather.

After the 2013 Calgary Flood exposed gaps in reaching people away from TV and radio, Alberta Emergency Management Agency (AEMA) partnered with Alertable to deliver verified alerts straight to smartphones, social media, and many more channels,  with geo-targeting, “Follow Me”, bilingual messaging, and fast, reliable delivery across the province.
